Ruben Amorim saw the funny side of things when a leaking roof briefly interpreted his post-match conference following a 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
Amorim recorded his second straight defeat in all competitions, with Bournemouth ensuring that United spend Christmas in the bottom half of the table, inflicting a 3-0 defeat.
But it appears results are not the only thing that the United hierarchy needs to attend to; they have to serve the Old Trafford infrastructure that has been deteriorating in the recent past.
On Sunday, as he addressed the media, water leaked down from the ceiling in the press room.
“Water is it?” a journalist remarked and the Portuguese replied, “Yeah, yeah,” before being asked to move.
And speaking about the loss, he admitted that things are hard at the moment.
“In this moment, everything is so hard. For a club like Manchester United to lose 3-0 at home, it’s really tough for everybody. The fans are really disappointed and tired. You can feel it in the stadium in the first play. I understand that, but we have to face it. I felt it since the first minute, there’s a lot of anxiety,” he told the news conference.
