Manchester United strengthened their Premier League Champions League qualification hopes with a 1-0 Victory over Aston Villa.
Bruno Fernandez goal in the first half was enough to secure three points for the Red Devils.
Today’s victory allowed them to hold onto fourth position, comfortably seven points ahead of fifth placed Liverpool.
Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag described the last eight days as a brilliant week.
“We have to keep going, game by game, but I think this is brilliant week for us” remarked Erik.
Last week’s 2 all draw against Tottenham Hotspur left Ten Hag dissatisfied, but a victory over Villa thrilled him today.
“We played a very good game to get through to the final, and then Tottenham, we played the first half very well and today we played two halves, I think an impressive game.” he said.

Bruno Fernandez scored his 100th league goal of his career.
He came under serious criticism this season especially after United suffered a 7-0 defeat against Liverpool, with a number of fans questioning his leadership.
Bruno’s arrival from Sporting Lisbon in 2020 helped rescue a campaign that was going nowhere and ensured United finished third.
“He’s so tough,” United boss Erik ten Hag said. “A couple of weeks ago there were questions about his captaincy” Erik said.
Villa’s European aspirations is under threat although given their final three opponents of the campaign are Tottenham, Liverpool and Brighton they remain in charge of their own destiny.
Villa failed to generate pressure around their opponents’ box or build up any decent momentum.
