Manchester United fans have taken to social media to express their displeasure with the behaviour of their star player Cristiano Ronaldo who stormed down the tunnel before full-time against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
The 37-Year old was on the substitutes bench in his side’s 2-0 impressive victory at Old Trafford.
During the post-match press conference, last night, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag promised to deal with the issue today.
“I have seen him, but I didn’t speak to him, I will deal with that tomorrow not today, we are celebrating this victory.”
Ronaldo’s moody reaction last night came just three days after the Portuguese captain left the pitch disappointed when he was substituted against Newcastle United.
However, the reaction has attracted more negative publicity towards the world’s men’s highest goal scorer of all time from both football pundits and Manchester United fans.
Some of them have described the behaviour as ” unacceptable” while others feel Erik Ten Hag is disrespecting him.

“Ronaldo is a disgrace 37 Years of age and storming off like a petulant child.” -@Dunner3
“Ronaldo is spoiling his reputation with United he is a legend but it’s now tarnished and that’s the sad thing what will he be remembered for by young fans.” -@Watling-a
“My problem with this guy(Ten Hag) is his attitude, he doesn’t respect Ronaldo, Ronaldo is still and will always be the best, I just don’t see enough team work and ball passing when Ronaldo is in the game that’s uncalled for.” – @TammyLo22059350
EVRA DEFENDS RONALDO
Meanwhile former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra came to the defense of the Ronaldo and argued that if Ten Hag respected the Portuguese star, he would be starting him.
“One interview from Ten Hag after the game against Manchester City and why he didn’t bring him on was because he respected his character.
“If he respected his character, he would surely have to play him and play him every time,” he said.
His fellow pundit and former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry also said Ten Hag is doing everything for the good of the team.
“It is not an easy one, but for the boss, he is here for the team, not Cristiano Ronaldo. Cristiano is part of the team and you need to find that solution.
“At times, he has to play without him and what’s difficult is when people talk about him, he will talk about what he has done in the game and not many people can sit on his table who have achieved what he has, but it is about what he is currently doing and what he is doing is not what he used to.”
Ronaldo made 8 appearances this season in the English Premier League and made only 2 with one goal to his name so far.
