It’s another action-packed Premier League weekend, with leaders Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea all in action.
Aston Villa Vs Arsenal
The ship has not sailed swimmingly for Mikel Arteta’s men who find themselves second on the table, level on points with leaders Manchester City at 51.
Arsenal have a chance to reestablish its position at the summit after losing three of their last five matches.
Currently, 11th on the table, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery will be eager to frustrate his former employers.
Villa have now lost each of their last three against the Gunners.
Overall Arsenal have a good away record against their opponents, though they have lost two of their last three visits to Villa Park.
The Villans have won two of their last five games and lost three.
The game has all the necessary ingredients for a feisty affair.
Chelsea Vs Southampton
Strugglers Chelsea welcome Southampton.
Despite spending heavily to boost their squad, Chelsea finds themselves in uncharted waters.
The Blues have only won one of their last five games while drawing three times and losing once.
Graham Potter’s men will be eager to bounce back to winning ways, but they face a tough task against relegation-threatened Southampton.
Currently, at the bottom of the table, Southampton will fight to stay ashore in the top flight of English football.
Chelsea lost their first meeting in the league 2-1 against Southampton in August—they’ve not lost consecutive league matches against the Saints since December 1993.
Southampton are looking to complete their first league double over Chelsea since the 1987-88 campaign; their 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge that season saw a 17-year-old Alan Shearer make his senior English league debut.
Nottingham Forest Vs Manchester City
Premier League Newbies Nottingham Forest welcome Manchester City after two consecutive victories over Aston Villa and Arsenal.
Manchester City should be high on confidence after leapfrogging Arsenal 1-3 to sit at the summit.
Forest lost their reverse fixture 6-0 against the Cityzens and they will seek redemption.
City have lost one of their last five games while winning four. On the other hand, Forest has only won one while losing three and drawing once.
Manchester United Vs Leicester City
Manchester United’s sublime form has continued, and their draw against Barcelona at Camp Nou shows they are no pushovers.
Leicester City aren’t bad themselves; they have won three consecutive games and will be confident heading into this match.
United won the reverse fixture 1-0 against Leicester, ending a run of four Premier League games without a win against the Foxes (D2 L2).
Leicester have avoided defeat in their last two Premier League away games against the Red Devils (W1 D1).
They last had a longer league run without defeat at Old Trafford between August 1972 and April 1977 (W1 D3).
BETTING TIP: Try DOUBLE CHANCE for either team to win and both to score at least a goal.
Tottenham Hotspurs vs West Ham United
Following their 1-1 draw against Chelsea, West Ham will be eager to cause a derby upset.
West Ham have won twice and drawn the same number of games while only losing once.
Tottenham, on the hand, have lost their last two consecutive games while winning three before then.
Only once in the last eight seasons have West Ham avoided defeat in both Premier League meetings with Tottenham, doing so in 2020-21.
In that campaign, they came from 3-0 down in the last 10 minutes to draw 3-3 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
