Zambian striker Patson Daka has been nominated for Leicester City’s goal of the month award for December 2024.
Under Ruud van Nistelrooy, the Foxes won just one game in December 2024, scoring five goals in six of them.
They won one, drew once, and lost four. Leicester City’s only win in December came against West Ham United, 3-1 at the King Power Stadium.
It was the ex-Manchester United striker’s first match in charge, and he started well, with goals from Jamie Vardy, Bilal El Khannouss, and Daka securing all three points for the relegated Foxes.
Daka came off the bench to strike exquisitely and precisely under the crossbar, securing all three points.
In his eight appearances this season, the 26-year-old Zambian striker has only one goal and no assists. Daka has only started one game for Leicester this season.
Daka’s goal, along with Vardy’s opener, and El Khannouss’ second, have been nominated.
Other potential goals include Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s late equaliser against Brighton in a 2-2 draw and Jordan Ayew’s early goal against Liverpool.
The winner of the goal of the month will be determined by fan votes on the club’s website. The player with the most votes wins the award.
