Leicester City Football Club manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has expressed worry over his team’s run of form in the Premier League.

This follows the latest 3-0 home defeat to Newcastle United on Monday night.

The Foxes’ defeat leaves Leicester 15 points adrift of 17th-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In a post-match reaction, Van Nistelrooy was left disappointed as his side conceded three goals in under 35 minutes.

“It was very difficult, especially after 33 minutes when you’ve lost another game,” Van Nistelrooy said.

The Dutchman also bemoaned the lack of goals from the Foxes, who have now recorded a 14th loss in their last 15 Premier League matches.

The loss on Monday was the eighth successive home match in which they had both lost and failed to score.

“What is worrying is the run of form, the lack of goals, the lack of results we can’t produce. Trying different things, different structures, different players in different positions and the results are not there,” he said.

“It’s a big challenge. We all know the run of form we’re in. It’s extremely difficult. Especially if there aren’t light points to build on. It’s important to analyze this sleep on it and recover. That is it for now.”

Leicester City will be on the road for their next Premier League match against Brighton this weekend.
