Bukayo Saka’s contract with Arsenal is expected to be extended by another 12 months, keeping him at Emirates until 2024.
The 21-year-old, who received massive applause from fans and pundits for his performance against Brighton and Hove Albion FC on Saturday afternoon, opened the scoring in just the second minute of the game as the Gunners beat the Seagulls 4-2 and sent them seven points clear at the top of the Premier League.
So far, Saka has contributed six assists and six league goals for the Gunners who are top of the Premier League with 47 points, and has established himself as a key member of the team’s quest for the league title this season.
MailOnline Sport reports that Saka’s previous deal, which was signed in 2020, was an initial three-year agreement, but as expected, the Gunners are determined to extend his contract by a year while they finalize a longer-term deal.
