Mikel Arteta is unsure if Arsenal are Premier League title favorites after his side beat Fulham 3-0 at Craven cottage.
Sunday’s victory saw the Gunners open a five points lead on the log standings.
Leandro Trossard was the star man as he provided the three assists of the match. He assisted Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli, and Martin Odegaard who scored for Arsenal.
Arteta refused to comment on former his boss and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola’s belief that Arsenal are favorites to win the Premier League this season.
He insisted during the post-match press conference that there’s still a huge part of the season to be played.
“We discuss what we discuss internally to be really humble, to work on the next training session, and try to be better every day. That’s our focus; there’s still a huge part of the season to be played,” he said.
The return of Gabriel Jesus to the substitutes bench has also pleased Arteta.
“He put a lot into the last few months. And all the stuff had spent hours together to try to fulfil all his needs. To see him there with a smile on his face was a joy, I was really happy for him.”
