Arsenal and Chelsea are at opposite ends of the Premier League table and will clash tonight at the Emirates Stadium as the race for the title and relegation survivor heats up.

Manchester City’s 1-2 victory over Fulham on Sunday put the Cityzens temporarily above the Gunners with 76 points. Mikel Arteta’s men who are now second with 75 will hope to reestablish their 2 points lead at the summit tonight when they host the Blues.

City may have two games in hand but the Gunners will not go down without a fight. Arsenal are no pushover and will be eager to maximize home advantage against a struggling Chelsea side.

Currently winless in their last five games, Chelsea will be desperate to get back to winning ways.

They won this exact fixture 2-0 last season – only once in the Premier League have they won consecutive visits to Arsenal, doing so in May and November 2009.

Arsenal V Chelsea H2H

Arsenal has won four of their last five Premier League games against Chelsea (L1), the same number of victories as they had in their previous 23 games against the Blues (D6, L13).

The reverse fixture between the two ended 0-1 in favour of Arsenal at Stamford Bridge in November last year.

Arsenal have three draws, one loss, and one win in their last five games, while Chelsea has lost all five and is currently 12th in the standings.

The Gunners are looking to win three consecutive Premier League games against Chelsea for the first time since February 2004.

They could achieve their second league double in three seasons against the Blues, having done so just once in the previous 20 campaigns beforehand (2003-04).

Meanwhile, a loss for the Gunners tonight would put Pep Guardiola’s men firmly in control of the title race.

BETTING TIP: Arsenal wins or draw.

ODDS: 1.15
