After Arsenal blew a chance to maintain their five-point lead at the top of the table with a 1-1 draw against Brentford, Manchester City needed all three points to close the gap to three points.

Aston Villa got a consolation goal through Ollie Watkins in the 61st minute.
The win moved Pep Guardiola’s men to 48 points, three points behind Arsenal.
City are looking to win the Premier League for the second time in a row after winning it in the last two seasons.
They will take on league leaders Arsenal on Wednesday night. City will head into this fixture knowing very well a victory would put them on top of the table.
