The Chipolopolo striker and Haaland were teammates at RB Salzburg before the Norwegian forward was snapped up by Borussia Dortmund.

Daka, who now campaigns in the Championship, has found the back of the net seven times in 10 matches for Leicester City.

Haaland has scored 16 goals in the current season for Manchester City. He also won the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, and UEFA Super Cup.

With Haaland at the top of the Premier League scorers chart, Daka says he is not under pressure to replicate what his former teammate is doing with the Cityzens because the two are different individuals.

“I haven’t really been watching him [Haaland] or studying him, but we’re still in touch,” Daka told The Athletic.

“We speak now and then, but we are different players with different attributes. I try to watch my games and study my own. What is it that I’m doing? What is it that I’m supposed to do better?”

The 25-year-old Zambian striker, who has been contending for a starting berth with Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho, adds that he has been working closely with the club’s technical bench to shape his finishing skills.

“I get to speak to the coaches as well to try and help me improve because, the way we are playing, you find yourself in a similar position almost every time. So next time I’m in that position, what am I supposed to do?”

With the Foxes topping the championship table, Daka is already relishing a return to the Premier League.

“This season is going very well for the club, and it looks like we’re on track to go back to the Premier League,” he said adding “We can’t get ahead of ourselves. There’s still a lot of games to be played.”

“I have gained experience, and I am getting used to a different type of game. It’s fast and physical, but now I think going into it [the Premier League] would be a different experience.”
