Zimbabwe national team interim coach Jairos Tapera has named his squad for the 2024 COSAFA Cup tournament.
The COSAFA Cup tournament is set to be held in Durban, South Africa, in July.
The squad consists mostly of fringe players and a couple of UK-based stars.
Cambridge United striker Macauley Bonne and Brentford goalkeeper Miley Tavaziva have been named in the squad to play in the regional showpiece.
The duo is not part of the squad competing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers this week.
Bonne made 16 appearances for Cambridge last season in the Football League One. He will be aiming to earn the coach’s trust for the next round of crucial World Cup qualifier matches.
Zimbabwe is returning to the COSAFA Cup for the first time since 2021.
The Warriors missed the last two editions due to a FIFA ban, with the Chipolopolo dominating the last two competitions in the absence of their rivals.
Zimbabwe has won the regional competition six times.
