Nobody can stop Malawi from dreaming of winning the Hollywoodbets Cosafa Cup following a 100 percent record as they beat Seychelles to top group B with 6 points and are yet to concede.
Their perfect start has seen Comoros and Zambia coming second and third on the table with 3 points each from two games played.
Malawi has Comoros to face on Tuesday in their last game in the group stages. A draw will see them qualify even if Zambia, who defeated Comoros 2-1, wins their last match against Seychelles on the same day.
The Flames had numerous chances to kill the game in the first half, but as caretaker coach Patrick Mabedi alluded to, the boys undermined the opponent following their 3-0 defeat to Comoros on Thursday.
The first half ended goalless and second half Malawi came firing, finding the back of the net in the 56th minute through Lanjesi Nkhoma who headed home a Chawanangwa Kaonga effort.

Malawi could not sit back but kept pressuring Seychelles and found a second goal from striker Christopher Kumwembe who finished a Lanjesi Nkhoma rebound in the 65th minute.
There was nothing for Seychelles despite making changes as they only registered one shot on target the whole match with Malawi recording 6.
Mabedi thanked his boys: “Keeping a clean sheet in two games is something I need to thank my boys,” he said.
Seychelles coach Vivian Both said he watched Malawi playing Zambia, a thing which gave him the opportunity to have a different game plan. “We managed to hold them in the first half but it was not enough as we gave up in the second half.”
