Obino Chisala scored his first official goal for Sudanese outfit Al Merreikh SC in Super D1 on Sunday. After conceding an early goal against Mauritanian champions FC Nouadhibou, former Chipolopolo coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic summoned Chisala from the bench in the 18th minute.

The versatile midfielder repaid his manager with a stunning strike from outside the box on the stroke of halftime. Micho, managing his first official match for Al Merreikh, gave Ricky Banda his official debut in the second half, as his side eventually lost 2-1.

Lameck Banda within a whisker of return, Daka limps off

Sabobo and Chaiwa out, Benson Sakala unfielded again

Joseph Sabobo Banda missed FC Zurich’s 2-1 defeat to St Gallen while Miguel Chaiwa was left out of BSC Young Boys’ matchday squad against FC Sion.

In the Czech Republic, Benson Sakala was rooted to the substitute bench for the sixth consecutive league match. And since returning to the fold for Ayr United, Frankie Musonda has yet to take to the pitch.
