Zambia U-20 National Team forward Joseph ‘Sabobo’ Banda is being sought after by a Swiss top-flight club.
Sources have revealed that the youngster could make a move in the coming transfer window.
The 17-year-old, who will be 18 this year, is said to be in Switzerland, where he could sign a long-term contract with FC Zurich.
To back up the speculations, Sababo posted a photo of himself and his compatriot, Miguel Chaiwa, at the Stadion Wankdorf in Bern Switzerland on Instagram.
The photo is believed to have been taken shortly after Young Boys and FC Zurich’s draw game on Sunday.
Last year, he attended trials at Barcelona FC in Spain, but no deal was concluded. This came after his impressive performance at the COSAFA tournament.
Sabobo returned to Zambia and joined Red Arrows Football Club and he won the Zambian Super League.
BolaNews however understands that the Atletico Lusaka FC product is already in Switzerland. Sources say a deal is expected to be reached with FC Zurich.
The 13-time Swiss Super League winners are said to be keen on signing the youngster this summer.
Zambia could now have two players in the Swiss league should Sabobo get signed by Zurich, with Chaiwa already at Young Boys.
