After spending three years with Russian outfit Arsenal Tula, Zambian midfielder Kings Kangwa joined Serbian giants FK Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) in 2022 on a 4-year deal but he tells BolaNews that he will be leaving soon.
Kangwa began his career at Happy Hearts Club in Lusaka. He joined Israeli club Hapoel Be’er Sheva in 2017 before returning to Happy Hearts in 2018.
The Chipolopolo attacking midfielder later signed with Buildcon FC ahead of the 2019 Zambian Super League season, but left on July 19, 2019, for Arsenal Tula, where he scored five goals in 55 appearances.
However, since moving to Serbia, Kangwa has impressed, scoring eight goals and assisting four times in 34 appearances for Red Star Belgrade across all competitions.
On Wednesday, he scored his 6th goal of the season in the Serbian Super Liga to help his side beat Spartak Subotica 4-1 in the Serbian League.
“Time has come for me to leave” – Kangwa
Meanwhile, Kangwa hinted at his next move in Europe in an interview with BolaNews, adding that his time in Serbia is coming to an end.
“I came here to win the league and nothing else, now time has come for me to leave,” the midfielder said.
He also stated that he has received numerous offers from top European clubs and that he will make a decision this summer.
“I will not mention the name [of the next club] since the window will be opening. I will make a move,” said Kangwa.
