Kangwa remains optimistic about helping KV Kortrijk avoid relegation

"If we draw or lose, it's finished, so we have to win the last two matches. We will see what happens, in the end this is football," Kangwa said.

Chipolopolo midfielder Kings Kangwa thinks K.V. Kortrijk, a Belgian team, still has a chance to avoid being demoted from the Belgian Pro League.

Kangwa, who signed a five-month loan from Serbia to play in the Belgian Pro League in West Flanders, is eager to help his team survive relegation.

Kortrijk is in the relegation zone with 28 points from 34 games played thus far. To have an opportunity to stay in the league, Kortrijk needs to win their final two games.

He has had one assist in eight games in which he has appeared. This Sunday, Kortrijk takes on Eupen in a match that they absolutely must win to keep their prospects of avoiding relegation alive.

Speaking to Bolanews exclusively, Kangwa said he is working hard to make sure he helps the team survive relegation.

“In training and during league matches, I am doing my best to help my team. If we win the last two games, then we can survive,” he said.

The squad will persevere because there is still hope, according to the former midfielder for Buildcon Football Club.

“The team needs to keep pushing and working hard to survive, but again, given our current circumstances, we only have two games left, and these games need to be wins.”

“If we draw or lose, it’s finished, so we have to win the last two games. We will see what happens in the end; this is football,” Kangwa said.
