Chipolopolo captain, Lubambo Musonda, has started his new chapter in Germany on a high note with excellent performances in preseason for FC Magdeburg, his new club.
The 29-year-old joined the Bundesliga 2 side from AC Horsens in May of this year, following a season on loan at Danish Superliga club Silkeborg IF, where he made 24 appearances across all competitions and won the Oddset Cup.

Musonda has played for several European clubs since August 2014, including Ulisses Yerewan of Armenia’s first division and Gandzasar Kapan. Prior to joining Horsens, he played for Slask Wroclaw in the Polish first division.

Musonda has been working hard in preparation for the new season, and he was even given the captain’s armband during one of Magdeburg’s friendly games.
The Chipolopolo midfielder, who also plays wingback, has already played four games against BFC Dynamos, Bayern II, FC Zurich, and Bochum.
Musonda scored his first goal for the club against Zurich on July 12 in a 4-0 victory at Benningen.
His team will host Norwich City for another preseason friendly on Friday, and he is expected to be in the squad.
Magdeburg finished 14th in the Bundesliga last season and will look to improve this season and potentially compete for a promotion spot.
