Zambian international midfielder Edward Chilufya opened his goal-scoring account for BK Hacken in a 4-1 win against Jonsered IF during a Swedish Cup game last night.
The goal was Chilufya’s first since joining the Swedish Champions on loan from Midtjylland.
BK Hacken took the lead as early as the 19th minute through Pontus Dahbo, which lasted until halftime.
The home team then pulled one back through Lenas Carestam in the 52nd minute. However, Swedish international Momodou Lamin restored the visitor’s lead moments later.
Soon after, BK Hacken would make it 3-1 when Dahbo completed his brace two minutes into the 90th-minute mark.
The former Djurgårdens IF attacker was introduced in the game as a second-half substitute. He went on to round off the scoring with a fine finish in the 94th minute.
The win saw BK Hacken progress to the group stage of the Swedish Cup.
They will now shift focus to the domestic league, where they will take on struggling AIK in a Week 24 fixture this weekend.
With six games left, Hacken is third in the standings with 47 points, five behind log leaders Malmo FF.
The 24-year-old was loaned to the Swedish club after 6 goals in 61 appearances for the Midtjylland.
Wednesday’s match was his third for Hacken having featured in their 4-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League last week.
