Chipolopolo head coach Avram Grant has unveiled a 32-man provisional squad for the upcoming 2024 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN), according to the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ).
The CHAN, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. It will kick off on August 2, 2025, and run to August 30.
The squad is expected to enter residential camp this Sunday, with training sessions kicking off on Monday. The team will later travel to East Africa for a pre-tournament training camp.
This will mark Zambia’s fifth CHAN appearance, with their best performance being a third-place finish in the 2009 edition.
The Chipolopolo are drawn in Group A and will begin their campaign against Congo DR on August 7. They will then face Angola on August 10, before taking on Morocco on August 14. Zambia will wrap up the group stage with a clash against co-hosts Kenya on August 17.
