Ex-Zesco United goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata has advised the team to put their 2-0 defeat behind them and focus on putting up a strong fight on home soil when they face FC 105 Libreville on Sunday.
Zesco United suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of FC 105 in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round fixture last Saturday.
The nine-time league champions will host the Gabonese side in the return leg of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round on Saturday, 28th September 2025, at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Zesco United will need to score three unanswered goals to stand a chance of advancing to the next stage of the competition.
However, the Chipolopolo shot-stopper believes Zesco United can still overturn the 2-0 result at home.
“Well done for the effort in the first leg. Don’t give up, don’t lose hope and don’t look down. We still have the second leg at home this Saturday. Let’s stay strong, fight as one team and not give the opponents any room to play. We believe in you, but mostly I wanna encourage every player to do his very,” Nsabata told BolaNews exclusively.
“Pray hard for the team Zesco United and leave everything unto God. Greater days ahead and victory is close,” noted Nsabata.
Meanwhile, the nine-time Zambian Super League champions are expected to stage a strong performance in front of their home fans to revive their hopes of securing a place in the next round of the competition.
