Rivers United defender Elias Ochobi has warned Power Dynamos that they will not have it easy in Saturday’s Champions League Group A match at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria.
Both teams are looking to remain with a mathematical chance of qualifying to the knockout stages, having only managed to collect one point apiece in three games.
There are three more games to play. FC Pyramids and RS Berkane of Egypt and Morocco respectively, are holding the two qualifying positions with seven points apiece.
Ochobi told Bolanews in an exclusive interview that Power should not expect the same Rivers United that held them to a scoreless draw at the Levy Mwanaswasa Stadium last Saturday.
“We believe we are going to take the three points there [in Uyo],” Ochobi said. “They [Power] will have a very difficult game at home; I think we will take the three points there.”
He said the line of qualification remains tricky, but his side will do all they can in the last three games.
“The line of qualification is quite slim, but we will try our best. If we win at home [against Power], maybe go to Morocco there and see,” he said.
