Chipolopolo and Simba Sporting Club midfielder Clatous Chama has predicted a tough contest against Power Dynamos, describing the Zambia Premier League Champions as a powerhouse in the COSAFA region.
Dynamos and Simba will lock horns this Saturday in the second round of the CAF Champions League, with group-stage qualification at stake.
The Zambian international will look to upset his country, but he believes it will not be easy for Simba to play in Ndola.
“Power Dynamos is a big club, and that explains why they are Champions of Zambia. But we are Lions, and we are a great team… We shall be ready, and we will fight for the Club,” Chama told Simba TV.
“Each [Simba SC] player has his success, but at the end of the day, we fight for the team and ask God to help us,” he added.
“Champions League is different” – Chama
The 32-year-old downplayed Simba’s 2-0 win against Dynamos when the two sides met last month in a friendly match, warning that this game would be different.
“We played them on Simba Day, and we interacted as players, but that was just a friendly game. This competition is the Champions League, and we are treating both games differently.”

Chama, who will return to his former stadium with Zesco United, has stated that it will be an emotional experience, especially since he will be on the opposing side.
“It’s a good feeling when you get to play against a team that you [once] played for. It will obviously be emotional to play against Power Dynamos, my former side at Levy Mwanawasa [Stadium], which I once called home when I played for Zesco United,” he said.
The two sides will meet for just the first time in the CAF Champions League, with the winner of the two-legged matchups booking a place in the Group Stage.
