Chipolopolo goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga has been discharged from the hospital after being admitted following a collision with Kelvin Kampamba during last Sunday’s 2-2 draw between Power Dynamos and Zesco United at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
Zesco came from two goals down to silence the Aba Yellow and force a draw against the defending Zambian champions in week five of the domestic league.
With just 10 minutes into the game, Mulenga saved Lazarus Kambole’s header, but five minutes later, the shot-stopper was forced off the pitch after the collision with Kampamba.
Mulenga was rushed to the hospital because his injury appeared serious, and he was replaced by Willard Mwanza.
BolaNews has learned that the Zambian international who suffered facial bruises has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home.

However, Mulenga will not be able to travel to Tanzania for this weekend’s CAF Champions League second-leg fixture against Simba SC in the preliminary round.
Power and Simba drew 2-2 in the first leg at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawansa Stadium. They will hope to score as many goals as possible at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam next Sunday in order to avoid elimination from the continent’s premier interclub competition.
Simba, on the other hand, will need just a scoreless draw to advance to the group stage for the second consecutive time.
Power were in a similar situation 11 years ago, when they were eliminated from the competition after a 7-1 aggregate defeat to Congolese giants TP Mazembe.
