The tournament began on June 22, 2024, in Lusaka’s Bauleni township. Each compound had eight teams competing for a spot as hood representatives at the finale.

The tournament, worth approximately K2.5 million, includes community clubs from seven townships in Lusaka and Copperbelt provinces.

Over 1,000 people packed the Magret Mwanakatwe stadium in Bauleni township for the inaugural matches. BUSA FC walked away with a K15,000 cheque and bragging rights as hood champions. All winners in each compound received the same amount.

Musalile were crowned champions in Garden Compound, while 700 Bullets advanced to the finale as best losers across all compounds. Lasa Lasa were Mtendere champions in front of around 2,000 spectators.

In Kanyama compound the Kanyama Bulls FC emerged champions.

The tournament continued in Kitwe over the last three weekends where Golden Wolves, Changa Changa, and Lanshinga were crowned champions of Wusakile, Mulenga, and Kamitondo compounds, respectively.

Meanwhile, the compound that had the most spectators will have a community borehole drilled near their ground by BolaBet Zambia.

The compound will be announced on the finale on Sunday this weekend.
