CAF champions league football resumes for clubs in the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) region this weekend.

Botswana Super League

Jwaneng Galaxy Football Club is going head-to-head with Wydad Casablanca on Saturday 24 February 2024 in the Botswana capital, Gaborone. The match is a part of the CAF Champions League, Group B.

The Jwaneng Galaxy of Botswana stunned the continent by defeating Wydad AC, a formidable Moroccan team, 1-0 on the road in Casablanca. In other Group B games, Simba SC of Tanzania and Ivorian team ASEC Mimosas played to a scoreless tie-on Friday.

In only their second appearance in the group stages of the continent’s premier club competition, Galaxy not only topped the group but did so in historic fashion, securing their first-ever victory in the CAF Champions’ League group stages.
