Sable Bulls hosted George United in the FAZ Division Two Lusaka Province League on Saturday at Lusaka Girls High School Grounds in a match characterized by drama before kickoff.
The visiting team refused to use the designated entry point to the pitch, claiming that the home team had planted magical charms at the entrance to influence the outcome of the game.
As a result, they had to climb an approximately 6.25-foot-high fence to get on the field.
In a viral video making the rounds on social media, George United players climbed the fence one after the other.
Sable Bulls, however, denied the allegations and described the act as “cheap mind games.”
The game went on and ended 1-1 with the two third-tier clubs scoring in each half of the match.
Sable Bulls are currently placed fourth on the league standings while George United who were first to score in that match are ninth.
This was not the first time teams accused each other of using magical spells to influence match results in Zambia. There have been such cases in the country’s top flight.
Earlier this month, Super League side, F.C. Muza was accused of casting a magical spell commonly referred to as “juju” in their locker rooms.

Power Dynamos recently avoided the locker rooms at FC Muza’s Nakambala stadium, citing allegations of a magical spell, which Muza denied.
The Football Association of Zambia(FAZ), however, warned teams to avoid shunning locker rooms or face disciplinary action.
