With fewer than 24 hours till the kickoff of their 2026 FIFA World Cup Group E encounter against Zambia, the Congo Brazzaville National Team has yet to arrive in the City of Ndola.

Their pre-match press conference, which was scheduled for 17:00 CAT, was canceled on Thursday.

“Kindly note that the Congo Brazzaville pre-match press conference will not take place today as they have not yet arrived. We will communicate if there is fresh information. Regards,” the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) communication manager, Sydney Mungala, told journalists in Ndola.

Since that time, FAZ has not given an update on their opponents.

However, BolaNews sources have said the Congolese are now expected to at least arrive at the Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport in Ndola before midnight.

It is also still unclear what has caused their delay, as efforts to get a comment from their football association proved futile by time of publication.
