Democratic Republic of Congo supporters are disappointed with their national team, who have failed to win any of their friendlies as they prepare for their opening Africa Cup of Nations match against Zambia.
Congo played out a goalless stalemate with Angola before suffering a 2-1 defeat to Burkina Faso. These results have left their faithfuls frustrated with their national team, whose last official match was an unexpected 1-0 defeat to Sudan in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Leopards have set up their pre-AFCON camp in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
To start with, the Leopards struggled to find the back of the net in their friendly match against Angola in Dubai. The two-time AFCON winners then came up against the Stallions of Burkina Faso in their second match on Wednesday at the Baniyas Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Goals from Ibrahim Toure and Mohamed Konate condemned the central African side to a 2-1 defeat against Burkina Faso.
Congolese losing hope ?

vumuka.d.makuala lamented, “This result is very disappointing. We must not lose to teams that have won nothing. We have two stars.”
Ronaldinho Djogo prognosticated, “We are only getting one point [at AFCON]. Zambia will beat them 2-1. Morocco 3-1. And against Tanzania, it’s ending 1-1.”

“Can this defense handle Zambia’s quick strikers?” – fans wonder
“You can’t go into the tournament with results like these. Are you sure this defense is handling Zambia’s fast pace? Lameck Banda, Patson Daka, and Fashion Sakala,” bonaventurebvmzed added.
However, some fans backed the team to improve at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
