Angola welcomes Ghana tonight in their fourth AFCON qualifier match as they seek redemption themselves after suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat last week in Kumasi.
Meanwhile, Ghana have picked seven points from a possible nine and are topping group E with a three-point lead.
On the other hand, Angola is second placed, but are level on 4 points with the Central Africa Republic.
However, the Black Stars are three points away from booking a spot at next year’s AFCON in their next two games.
Angola must pick themselves up and pick a positive result if they are to stand a chance of qualifying as Central Africa could beat Madagascar and move into second place.
A win for the Palancas Negras will put them in a good position before their final group matches against Central Africa and Madagascar in June and September this year.
Meanwhile, the four-time Africa Champions are determined to put one-foot into the 2023 AFCON by recording to a back-to-back tonight. n

Despite losing 1-0 away, Angola have proven to be a difficult side to beat in front of their home fans. They have not lost at home since 2021.
In their previous three meetings, Ghana has had an upper hand winning two games, while one game has resulted in a draw.
