Zesco, Eagles, Warriors, and Dynamos Reach 2025 ABSA Cup Quarterfinals

The stage is set for an exciting race towards the K1 million prize money, with quarterfinal matchups scheduled for April 12 and 13, 2025 officially confirmed.

Zesco United FC, Green Eagles, Kabwe Warriors, and Power Dynamos have joined Kansanshi Dynamos, Nkana FC, Red Arrows FC, and Konkola Blades in the quarterfinals of the 2025 ABSA Cup.

Green Eagles advanced after a goalless draw with Prison Leopards, securing a 2-4 victory in a penalty shootout at Nkoloma Stadium. Kabwe Warriors triumphed 2-0 over Makeni All Stars, with David Obashi and Saith Sakala scoring in each half to seal the win for the runners-up from last season.

At the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium in Kabwe, Zesco United comfortably defeated Barts FC 1-3. Lindo Mkhonta, Peter Musukuma, and John Ching’andu found the back of the net for Zesco, while Bartsโ€™ Semiwe Mwila scored their only goal.

Also at the same venue, MTN Super League leaders Power Dynamos handed Air Power a 3-0 defeat, with Titus Chansa scoring twice and Osmond Chita adding another.

With all the quarterfinal teams now confirmed, the matchups are set: Zesco United will face Konkola Blades, Nkana will take on Kansanshi Dynamos, defending champions Red Arrows will meet Green Eagles, and Kabwe Warriors will clash with Power Dynamos.

The quarterfinals will take place on April 12 and 13, 2025, at the Arthur Davies and Nkoloma stadium in Kitwe and Lusaka, respectively, as the race for the K1 million prize money intensifies.
