What is a Soccer Betting Market?

A soccer betting market is a specific type of bet that you can place on a soccer match. Each market represents a different aspect of the game or outcome that you can bet on. Here are some common soccer betting markets. 

Common Soccer Betting Markets

Match Result (1X2)

  • Description: Bet on the outcome of the match—home win (1), draw (X), or away win (2).

Over/Under Goals

  • Description: Bet on whether the total number of goals in the match will be over or under a specified number, such as 2.5 goals.

Both Teams to Score (BTTS)

  • Description: Bet on whether both teams will score at least one goal during the match.

Correct Score

  • Description: Bet on the exact final score of the match (e.g., 2-1, 1-1).

Double Chance

  • Description: Bet on two of the three possible outcomes, such as home win or draw (1X), away win or draw (X2), or home win or away win (12).

Half-Time/Full-Time

  • Description: Bet on the result at both half-time and full-time. For example, home team leading at half-time and full-time (Home/Home).

First Goal Scorer

  • Description: Bet on which player will score the first goal in the match.

Anytime Goal Scorer

  • Description: Bet on a player to score at any point during the match.

Asian Handicap

  • Description: Bet with a handicap that evens out the perceived strength difference between two teams. Handicaps can be whole numbers, half numbers, or even quarter numbers.

European Handicap

  • Description: Similar to Asian Handicap but uses whole numbers only and does not eliminate the draw as a possible outcome.

Total Corners

  • Description: Bet on the total number of corners taken in the match, often using over/under lines.

Total Cards

  • Description: Bet on the total number of yellow and/or red cards shown in the match, often using over/under lines.

Team to Win to Nil

  • Description: Bet on a team to win the match without conceding any goals.

Draw No Bet

  • Description: Bet on a team to win, but if the match ends in a draw, your stake is refunded.
