Manchester United were eliminated from the Europa League on Thursday following a 3-0 defeat in Seville in the second leg of their quarter-final tie with Sevilla.

The Red Devils cheaply gave away two goals and conceded another to crash out of the competition with a 5-2 aggregate defeat.

Sevilla took advantage of two late own goals at Old Trafford to go into Thursday’s match all square at 2-2.

Morocco’s Youssef En-Nesyri helped himself to a brace after errors from Harry Maguire and David de Gea.

Loic Bade also scored as Sevilla advanced to the semifinals, where they will face Juventus, who also progressed to the last four after a 1-2 aggregate victory over Sporting CP following their 1-1 draw in Lisbon.

Mourihno guides Roma to the Europa League last four

Jose Mourinho’s Roma stormed the semifinals of the Europa League after a dramatic 4-1 victory at home.

Roma battled into the Europa League last four with a 4-2 aggregate victory over Feyenoord thanks to goals from Stephan El Shaarawy and Lorenzo Pellegrini in extra time.

Leonardo Spinazzola’s second-half goal on Thursday cancelled out Mats Wieffer’s first-leg winner. But Igor Paixao’s header with 10 minutes remaining put Feyenoord on the verge of advancing to the semi-finals.

However, Paulo Dybala levelled the score in the 89th minute with a sharp turn and finish, setting up extra time. Pellegrini put the icing on the cake by scoring the game-winning goal.
