Zambia U-20 National Team faces Tunisia tonight in a must-win game for a place in the quarterfinal at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Young Chipolopolo have so far played two games, drawn one, and lost one game.
Coach Chisi Mbewe remains hopeful that his team will collect maximum points in tonight’s game and qualify for the next round.
“Very important game for us, we know this is the make or break game for us. I feel we just have to go all the way to ensure we collect the maximum points for us to qualify for the quarterfinal,” said Mbewe.
“We know it’s not going to be an easy game, but we have prepared, and the boys are looking forward to this game. They know if we lose, they go back home. If we win, we still remain in the tournament.”
Tunisia and Zambia have one point each but are still in contention for a place in the quarterfinals, while Benin, who have two points, will hope to finish second in the group when they play The Gambia, who have already qualified after two wins.

A victory won’t be enough for the Young Chipolopolo Boys to finish second as it will be dependent on the result between Benin and The Gambia in the other game.
However, they can still finish as a third-best team with a straight win against Tunisia, if Benin also wins.
The U-20 Africa Cup of Nations is also being used as the qualifier for the 2023 Indonesia FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The last four teams at the competition will book a ticket to the World Cup.
