Kennedy Musonda opened his scoring account for the year 2025 with a towering header in Young Africans SC’s 4-0 victory over Kagera Sugar on Saturday. Clatous Chama, who was also a late substitute, watched on as his compatriot registered his third club goal of the campaign.

Overseas, Songa Chipyoka‘s goal sealed maximum points for Hapoel Petah Tikva in their bid to return to the Israeli topflight. He stands at four goals and five assists after 25 games in all club competitions this term.

Everton-linked Patson Daka got a feel of the Goodison Park atmosphere as the hosts massacred Leicester City 4-0 on Saturday. Meanwhile, for the first time since December of last year, Frankie Musonda featured in Ayr United’s matchday squad in the Scottish Championship.

Fashion Sakala Jr. played 90 minutes as Al Fayha settled for a goalless draw against Al Taawoun. In Switzerland, Miguel Chaiwa and Joseph Sabobo Banda were second-half substitutes for BSC Young Boys and FC Zürich, respectively.

Kings Kangwa tastes defeat, Mwepu out

Israel Premier League leaders Hapoel Be’er Sheva suffered their first loss since September with Kings Kangwa playing the full match. In the second tier, Gift Mphande started for Hapoel Rishon Lezion.

In Spain, Francisco Mwepu was unavailable for Cadiz, who drew 0-0 with Real Zaragoza. Lameck Banda and Lubambo Musonda missed the weekend’s action but are expected to return from their respective injuries this month.

Ghampani plays for Supersport United, Benson Sakala unfielded.

On the African continent, Ghampani Lungu came on at the hour mark as Supersport United fell 2-1 to Amazulu, while Joshua Mutale started on the bench for Simba SC in the NBC Premier League.

Peter Chikola and Joseph Liteta made the starting XI for Cadiz B and Cagliari U20, respectively. Benson Sakala was an unused substitute in Mlada Boleslav’s 1-0 defeat to league leaders Slava Praha. Meanwhile, Golden Mafwenta featured as a substitute for Metalist 1925 in a club friendly.
