The Green Buffaloes Super League Week Five fixture on Saturday was a challenging one, according to captain of Atletico Lusaka Football Club Abel Kanyamuna.

At Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka, the Bad Boys and the Zambia Army team fought to a scoreless tie.

According to Kanyamuna, the team had several opportunities to score against Green Buffaloes but failed to capitalise on them.

He said that while they were a cohesive unit while attacking and defending, they still required to work on their finishing touch.

Kanyamuna.

“We knew from the start that would be a tough game. One thing that came out that was positive was that we stayed united,” Kanyamuna said.

“We focus on the Nkana match,” Kanyamuna.

“The games that we have been playing and drawing, I think we need to work more on the finishing part“

12th placed Atletico has 6 points from 5 league matches having scored three times, conceding four times in their Super League debut.

He is elated to return to action after missing out due to injury.

“It’s good to be back; as a football player, it is something that feels good to play games,” he stated.

Kanyamuna has set his sights on the next match against Kitwe giants, Nkana Football Club next Sunday.

“A very difficult game playing against an experienced club, and for us it is going to be another game to test our entering the Premier League, and I know that as long as we are together, we are unbreakable.”
