In a postponed week two league match on Sunday at Arthur Davies Stadium, Power Dynamos football team forced a nil-all draw against Zambian Premier League defending champion Red Arrows football team.

Before this match, the statistics gave Power an upper hand, with 17 wins against Red Arrows’ 9 in the head-to-head match.

Last season, Arrows disappointed the host team on their most recent visit to Arthur Davies with a 1 nil victory.

Godfrey Ngwenya said goodbye to both his old team and the supporters during the Super League match at the packed Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.

In the first half, their skillful playmaking gave them the ideal opportunity, but in the second half, Arrows performed better and created some solid opportunities.

John Soko twice broke free from the line to prevent the Airmen from taking the lead due to Michee and Bulaya’s efforts. The Airmen persisted in pressing forward.

John Soko then brought down Angel Lubamba in the box, but the center referee waved play on, much to the chagrin of the neutrals and the stunned silence of Power Dynamos supporters.

Chisi Mbewe, coach of the Arrows, also stated in a post-match interview that while a win would have been ideal, a draw away from home was still a good outcome. Though difficult, he saw a lot of good things in the contest.

Red Arrows, who have won all three of their games, are currently in third place after a strong season debut.
