Power Dynamos assistant coach Songwe Chalwe believes striker Andy Boyeli has his confidence back after ending his goal drought in the 1–0 win over Prison Leopards.
On Saturday, he ended his 450–minute run without a goal when he pounced from close range to beat Prison keeper Patrick Chooma.
Before the game, Boyeli, last season’s Golden Boot winner, last scored in the Kitwe derby against Nkana on November 12 at the Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.
Chalwe said in an interview that it is good that their talisman has managed to shake the net after a dry spell.
“It was very important for him to have a goal,” Chalwe said. “I am very proud of him, and I hope this is a turning point for him. He has gone through a goal drought but I believe this goal will boost his confidence going into the next game.”

Boyeli is way off the pace in defending his golden boot, as he sits nine goals behind leading scorer Fred Michael of Green Eagles, who has 14 goals in 16 games.
